This is the unique original Gouache painting by Graham Coton.

The painting depicts a scene from World War II showing a German Messerschmitt shooting down a British bomber.

This is the original painted art used on the cover of Air Ace Picture Library #62 "Direct Hit" published by Fleetway Publications in August 1961. The art was used again on War Picture Library #1164 cover "Direct Hit".

The art is accompanied by a copy of the original comic (see picture).
